What are dermal fillers?

to define contours and restore lost volume to the face and
lips resulting in a fuller and more youthful look.
What is hyaluronic acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring sugar chain
molecule found in all skin and soft tissues throughout the
body.
How does it work?
Hyaluronic Acid dermal fillers are a clear sterile gel
injected into the skin providing instant correction by
lifting and plumping up the skin. It attracts and binds
water in the skin, providing volume and hydration.
Is it safe?
Derma fillers have been used in many countries for the
last 15 years with minimal adverse effects. Minor side
effects like slight bleeding, bruising or swelling could
occur, lasting for 2-5 days. If you are prone to cold
sores you may have a breakout after treatment, this can be
managed by anti-viral tablets. Very rarely, allergic
reactions could occur which includes - itching, redness,
swelling, hard or small bumps under the skin.
Am I suitable for treatment?
The practitioner will take a detailed medical history to
ensure you have no conditions that might increase risk of
unwanted side effects. Consultation is also important to
discuss your expectations and whether or not this
